Coalition

About Us

The Milwaukee River Greenway Coalition formed out of a grass roots effort in 2006 to protect six miles of urban river from insensitive development.  With the Coalition's leadership, in 2006 shoreline protections were passed in the Village of Shorewood and in 2010 in the City of Milwaukee.  The Coalition released the Milwaukee River Greenway Master Plan:  A Vision for Recreation and Restoration in 2010 and has been leading the implementation of that plan ever since.

Milwaukee River Greenway Mission
